Monology on the blackboard

「トランペットを眺める黒人少年」の元ねた

　「物に対する憧れの目付き」の比喩として「ショーウィンドウのトランペットをながめる黒人少年」という表現がありますが、これは映画か小説の一場面から来ているのでしょうか。

　西原理恵子の漫画では見たことがありますが、先に元ねたがあるような気がします。

ラ・ビダン１：「ニューヨークのスラム街で貧しい黒人の少年がトランペットが欲しくて・・・毎日毎日ショーウィンドウの中のトランペットを見つめて いたという・・・もちろんそんな高価なものを買えるお金なぞ少年になかった。それでも少年は毎日のようにショーウィンドウを見つめていた・・・そんなある日、それを見ていた一人の紳士が、少年にトランペットを買いあたえたという・・・まったく見ず知らずの赤の他人の少年に・・・のちにその少年は世界的トランペッターとなり・・・その音色で多くの人々を感動させたという。」
